For those of you who don't know me, I'm Kieran Scott and I write books for teens, both under my own name, and under the pseudonym Kate Brian (PRIVATE, PRIVILEGE, MEGAN MEADE'S GUIDE TO THE MCGOWAN BOYS and many others.)

This may be the coolest contest I've ever run, because

A) It gives YOU a chance to showcase your creativity

B) The prize is INSANE!

I have enlisted the help of super-popular authors SARA SHEPARD (Pretty Little Liars), JENNY HAN (The Summer I Turned Pretty), GAYLE FORMAN (If I Stay), ELIZABETH SCOTT (The Unwritten Rule), SUSANE COLASANTI (Something Like Fate), and HEIDI R.KLING (Sea) PLUS actor BRANT DAUGHERTY (Thomas Pearson in the PRIVATE webisodes) to put together the BIGGEST GRAND PRIZE YOU'LL EVER SEE!

But to win it, you're going to have to enter the contest. So here's what you need to do.

1) Grab your copy of my newest book SHE'S SO DEAD TO US and take a picture of yourself with the book. Or have your bff take it, or your dog, whoever. BE CREATIVE! As creative as you like. Hang upside down from your jungle gym, paint your face light blue, break a set of (fake!) pearls and decorate your shirt with them. WHATEVER you want! The sky's the limit! (Just nothing lewd, please.) And if you're under 18, please get your parent or guardian's permission before you enter! Want an example? It's come to my attention that people trying to upload their entries onto the SHE'S SO DEAD TO US facebook page haven't been able to do so. It tells you it's uploaded, but the photos aren't visible, so I don't know if you've entered or not.

If you've tried to enter on facebook PLEASE re-enter by sending your pic to kieran@kieranscott.net. Until facebook responds to my problem (and who knows when that will happen) this will be the best way to enter!

Most of my emails lately have been about one thing and one thing only, everyone is DYING to know when the sequel to SHE'S SO DEAD TO US is coming out!

Well, the answer is, sadly NEXT SUMMER. (I know, I know--it's crazy far away.) The sequel is titled SHE'S SO OVER HIM and is scheduled for release around May or June (exact date to come). But there IS good news! I have a special treat for those of you who want to know what the Cresties are up to while you're waiting for the new book to be released. Know how Annie Johnston has a slightly unhealthy obsession with those from the "other" side of town? Well, now you can read all her (often catty) insights and (sometimes hilarious) musings on twitter by following her @AnnietheNorm.

So if you can't get enough of Ally and Jake (plus Chloe, Hammond, Shannen, Faith and the Idiot Twins among others) head on over to twitter and follow Annie. You'll be glad you did!
